Upon graduating from college in 1964, I moved from Raleigh to Charlotte to teach elementary school. I taught for 5 years and raised 2 wonderful children with my husband in Charlotte. I also worked in a consignment retail shop for 23 years before coming to Cottingham Chalk. I am proud to say that I’ve grown with this family for the last 14 years and consider Cottingham Chalk home and the people who work here part of my family.

When not working, I enjoy reading, baking, playing Bridge, watching sports on TV, working puzzles and helping raise twin grandchildren.

Q: Why do you like working in real estate?

A: Working in a real estate office is exciting because there are so many people in and out, and each day is different. Cottingham Chalk has a very supportive management team and it’s like working for a big family.

Q: What do you love about Charlotte?

A: Charlotte is an energetic place to live. It offers so much diversity, opportunity and entertainment.

Q: Something no one would guess about you?

A: It would surprise people to know that I am a frustrated singer and dancer…can’t do either well, but love watching musicals.
