Daniel Cottingham is the Chief Executive Officer and Broker in Charge at Cottingham Chalk, where he is responsible for day to day operations and agent training and support. Prior to his role in management, Daniel spent 11 years in general brokerage, working with buyers and sellers throughout the Charlotte market. His experience ranges from high-end luxury to first-time home buyers and from historic properties to new home development.

Over the course of his career, Daniel has served on the Board of Directors at the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association, Carolinas Multiple Listing Service, and the North Carolina Association of Realtors. He regularly attends national real estate conferences including Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Annual Conference® and Inman Connect. He is a graduate of Maestro Leadership by LeadingRE.

A native of the area, Daniel has seen Charlotte grow and emerge as a world class city. He understands the intricacies of region, particularly from a real estate perspective, and he embraces the change that comes with growth. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. Daniel lives in Myers Park with his wife and children and enjoys spending time outside with his family, playing golf and sneaking in a run before the sun comes up.
