I grew up just west of the Queen City in Gastonia, but consider myself a native Charlottean (I mean, that counts, right?). I attended UNC-Chapel Hill where I studied Journalism and went to Georgetown for graduate school where I received my Masters in Sports Management. My work background has primarily been in marketing and advertising in a variety of industries. I worked for five+ years at a local ad agency and most recently worked for Crescent Communities, a commercial real estate developer based here in Charlotte.

My husband, Mark, and our two young boys, Max, and Rhett, now live in South Charlotte with our two rescue pups. I’m a big fan of the outdoors, Panthers football, Tarheel basketball, hot yoga, and Juicy Jay.

Q: Why do you like working in real estate?

A: I think all real estate is fascinating. I loved learning about commercial real estate in my previous role, but I’m looking forward to working on the residential side of things and helping people find the next place that they will call home.

Q: What do you love about Charlotte?

A: Growing up, I remember making the trek to Charlotte every week to visit my grandparents who lived in Myers Park. Even as a child, I noticed the gradual changes to the skyline that started to happen as we inched closer towards the millennium. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, I moved back to Charlotte, and, aside from two years out West and in Washington, D.C., this has been the city I have called home for 12 years. It’s been amazing to watch this city grow into itself, but even more amazing to see the people – Native Charlotteans or not – embrace it.

Q: Something no one would guess about you?

A: I’m a pretty solid basketball player. I played all throughout high school and on AAU teams in the summer. Even though I’m short and not that fast…I was a pretty good point guard back in the day.
